Two weeks ago was the first week of CRU/FCA. It was a pretty great start!
Small Groups
Small groups have been going well! Another leader, Troy Neimeier and I are leading them on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Troy has Tuesday nights and I have Thursday nights. From what I've heard, his are going quite well, he's going through the book of John with about 6 students. Fantastic!
Thursday nights, on my end, are going SUPERB. two weeks ago we started off with just getting to know each other, we shared our testimonies of Christ in our lives. It was so amazing. There's so many things I didn't know about people. The Lord works so mysteriously in our lives. This past week, we began our study of the gospels. I feel like the Holy Spirit is really stressing the importance of falling in love with Jesus. So, the Lord is focusing us on the Gospels. We are continuing through the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; one chapter a week and really focusing on "What does this show us about who Jesus is?" This is a question I feel the Holy Spirit is really focusing on because as we understand who Jesus is, the more we understand how He loves us, and the more we are able to accept and reciprocate that love. I think people are really responding to this. Amen Jesus. Amen!
Prayer Meetings
PR meetings are happening 3 hours a week (Tuesday,Thursday @ 12:00 p.m, Wednesday at 8:00 a.m)
Nobody showed up for the first 3 meetings, nor did anyone show up for the 3 meetings after that.
Yes, I'm getting a little frustrated, but I keep my eye on the prize and I have understanding that the Lord is still present, even in the absence of others. It's not a matter of how big the meeting is, it's how big the Lord is, and n reality, He's bigger than us all! He doesn't REALLY need us, He just WANTS us to partner with Him. So I'm going to remain faithful and stick it out.
Today however, one person showed up! Amen! It will be a learning experience I feel for newcomers, but the Lord is going to raise people up who are passionate about His word and partnering with the desires of His heart.
